Rafting and Kayaking in the Ganges is always a delightful experience. We were staying at one of the beach camps near Rishikesh, located at the foothills of the Himalayas. 
There are many interesting stories detailed in our Hindu mythology involving the the holy river Ganga and the mighty Himalayas. Many significant places of worship along the course of the river; Gangotri - the place of her birth, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Varanasi and Allahabad are a few holy cities along the course of her journey, all the way to the Bay of Bengal.
Hence, spending time on the banks of this majestic river near Rishikesh was overwhelming and blissful.
