The trip to Tanzania by the wonderful people of Cookstown was an astounding success. On the advice of a stranger 30 year ambitions were realised.
Mary and Jonathan Notman have built a new orphanage on the outskirts of Dar-es-Salaam,Thelma bought the means of putting a roof on it, just before the rains. They worked in the schools, by teaching English, and telling stories. They did their lovely puppet show where ever they went. They took the long 2 day journey in all that heat, down to Ngonga. They were so thrilled, that they plan to return next year for 3 months. I myself will be going out,(in Faith, of course that I get my ticket money), to help with the ever growing amount of orphans coming in.
A special thanks must be extended to the Police Service for Northern Ireland for their generous and valuable support.
