In the Egyptian mythology the lotus flower is a symbol of the sun, of creation and rebirth. In the East, the lotus flower is viewed as a symbol of spiritual unfoldment. The lotus flower also stands for beauty and everything that is good. Countless generations of Chinese painters are attracted to lotus flowers, that's why I have also decided for some Chinese paintings as they are one of the oldest continuous artistic traditions in the world.
