Pour Les Femmes

As part of A Ray of Hope, Pour Les Femmes is a journal for women to care and share. It is also hoped to build up a data base of experts and advisors for imparting knowledge and friendship. Below is the beginning of our panel of experts. All of these wonderful women are known personally to me and have the highest integrity. They all wish to make a positive contribution to the world they live in. If there are queries or you need advice you will be put in direct contact with the appropriate advisor. My name is Florence – I am a library consultant and store manager in a fast growing family resource centre in Nigeria called Family First Resource Centre. I am also president of Real Life Foundation an NGO in Nigeria for teenagers. Our focus right now is on young girls between the ages of 12 – 23. Raising them as role models in the society, educating them on how to build character and integrity and most importantly to model to them how to relate with the opposite sex without loosing value and worth. Discover their potential and maximize it. To be young ladies of character who would be the future wives and mothers our world has been craving for.

In the past two years, while dealing with the difficulties of this disease, I created a project that I called 'Flowers 4 MS'. I view flowers as a symbol of hope, beauty and life and I feel they are the perfect representation of my dream, which is finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis and for all the rare neurological diseases that are so similar to it. Flowers bring joy and beauty in very simple, but wonderful ways and they speak to everyone’s hearts through their beauty.
